Microneedling treatment near me

Micro-needling on the face is a fantastic alternative to wrinkle injections, filler, glycolic or TCA skin peels and micro-dermabrasion for skin rejuvenation.

As it stimulates the production of new collagen, tightens and firmes the skin and evens out skin tone without removing the epidermal layer of your skin which makes is safe to treat all skin types.

  • Collagen and elastine production
  • Hydration + brightening
  • Reduces fine lines + wrinkles
  • Skin tightening + firming

What is Microneedling?

Microneedling treatment, also known as collagen induction therapy, is the penetration of tiny thin needles into the skin at various depths from approx 0.1mm to 1mm depth. This targets the hypodermis layer to cause an inflammatory response that triggers the natural production of collagen and elastin.

As the needles penetrate, they cause trauma to the skin. This stimulates the fibroblasts (the part of our immune system that binds the skin together) and triggers a natural healing response that boosts the collagen and elastin that’s made naturally by the body.

To enhance the results of micro-needling there are two types of treatments. The options are to either add mesotherapy serums or radio frequency energy. You can have both but just not at the same time as the high level of focus energy from the Radio Frequency Microneedling will destroy the active ingredients in the Mesotherapy Serums so hence there are two types of Microneedling skin treatments - but both are equally as wonderful, effective and long lasting when looking to improve aging skin.

meostherapy

Mesotherapy serums such as hyaluronic acid and active nutrient-dense serums [NCTF135HA Fillmed] are penetrated deep into the dermal layer to influence your skin health cells by placing the nutrition and cytokine support where it's needed to regenerate firmer and stronger skin..

radio-frequency

Focused Radio Frequency sends a high level of energy down the needles into the dermis layer to create the inflammatory response by the fibroblast to produce more collagen and elastin with the outcome of firmer skin instantly and long-lasting

What are the benefits of microneedling?

Microneedling is the most effective non-evasive pro-ageing facial treatment you can have to improve your skin health.

It’s a long-lasting pro-aging skin treatment and especially good for issues like lack of tone, loose skin, and improving firmness. I’ve also seen fantastic results on large open pores,  pigmentation, and historical scars.

It can be used on all skin types and unlike microdermabrasion and skin peels, you can have micro-needling at any time of the year without any risks.

Microneedling [FAQs]

What is Microneedling Treatment?

Microneedling treatment also known as collagen induction therapy, is the penetration of tiny thin needles into the skin at various depths from approx from 0.1mm to 1mm depth. At these depths, they target the hypodermis layer to cause an inflammatory response that triggers the natural production of collagen and elastin.

How many micro-needling sessions will I need?

One treatment will give you a result. A skin treatment protocol of at least three treatments will give you lasting, visible results.

Each microneedling treatment should be four weeks apart and spread over a 12 week period. After that, treatment protocol can reduce to every 6-8 weeks will maintain the results and give you firmer, smoother skin.

Can you microneedle too often?

Yes, microneedling treatments at home or in the clinic should only be performed 2 to 4 weeks apart.

You must allow at least two weeks post-treatment to allow your skin to heal before having any other skin procedure.

For aged, lack of toned skin oddly you need more time between treatments. So those who need microneedling the most actually must have it the least for the optimum result! That's skin you..

How long do effects of Microneedling last?

The effects of one single microneedling treatment will last anywhere from 4 to 8 weeks depending on the quality of your skin health.

The results from a course or skin treatment protocol will last anywhere from three to six months.

For many clients, the consistency of regular treatment 6 to 8 weeks apart will maintain the effects of the microneedling last long term.

Taking good care of your skin through a conscientious at-home simple skin care routine can help preserve your results.

What to expect after a microneedling treatment?

A feeling of redness for 24 to 36 hours.

Your skin may feel warm and tight for one to three days. During this period, use delicate cleansing milk and recovery creams.

The best advice is to avoid swimming, strenuous exercise and excessive sun exposure during this 36 hours window.

Initially, your skin will feel dry after a few days, but as your skin cell turnover removes your current skin and relieves the new skin influenced by the microneedling you will begin to feel softer, firmer-looking skin.

Does microneedling hurt?

No, not really, it can feel uncomfortable during the treatment. Some aestheticians will apply numbing cream to help reduce the sensation.

The pain from microneedling is often more on the forehead and thinner skin, you will feel an overall pain but it is not like having a needle put into your arm. The cartridge of needles is moving (oscillating) so fast that you can hardly feel the individual needles.

How much does microneedling treatment cost?

Depending on the location and practitioner, professional microneedling by a dermatologist or aesthetician can cost anywhere between £150 to upward of £295+ per treatment, with a series of three to six treatments often required to see results, the number of which can vary based on skin issue and condition.

Is microneedling worth the money?

If you are looking for a way to improve the overall look, texture and tone of your skin, microneedling is absolutely an option you should consider and is worth the money.

The results and benefits to your skin are quick and long lasting.

How many microneedling sessions for wrinkles?

You can safely enjoy microneedling sessions for wrinkles every 4 to 6 weeks.

It's ideal to leave at least four weeks between treatments to allow the skin to rejuvenate and create the collagen and elastin required to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
